A day at the races...

We went to Greenlake to watch our friend compete on Saturday! It was 3 minutes of pure excitement! Here you can see them lined up at the start...
...at least I think they are in the frame, it was sort of far away and I had a hard telling if the camera was actually pointed at them.

It was lovely! It was a short walk from our house, our friend VM brought her Regatta viewing glasses, B&J brought some fresh fruit to snack on, and girlfriend J was filling us in on how it all worked! Photos are here.

Later in the evening, after nap time, we had a BBQ that was SO delicious, three kinds of sausages for the grill, fresh corn with chipolte-lime butter, Mediterranean salad, grilled mushrooms and onions and good bread. Sara made some brilliant mojitos and the evening ended with cookies and ice cream watching a hilarious improv of Omega Man with Charlton Heston at the Fremont outdoor movie.

I'm going to guess that this race had something to do with boats. Or maybe clouds.

I think that was right...in the end the boats beat the clouds.

Sounds to me like it was a great weekend. Rowing, BBQ, mojitos, movies. Excellent!
