Sailing takes us....

...across the bay into the lake with snacks!

My folks came up yesterday to go sailing and all of natures forces converged to create the perfect.... lazy, sunny, snacking, sailing afternoon! Really, it could not have been better!

We paid our dough to rent the big boat for the afternoon, the wind was perfect, the weather was perfect, the company was fabulous and we didn't get stuck in the mud! I can't wait to go again!

All the photos are here.

After sailing we head back to Fremont for a quick change and walked down to 35th St. Bistro for dinner. That place has always delivered in the past and the new chef has not missed a beat....AND Tuesday they have a list of nice bottles of wines for half-price! So we ordered two.

A pleasant stroll back up the hill to home, a good nights rest and they are off this morning to the SAM and then home! Short and fun!

Phase two of "Parent Week" begins Friday with Sara folks! Stay tuned....

I like the picture with the skipper (so she passed the test?) plotting the course or something. I can just see the thought bubble: "And then if we sail through Deadman's Strait, cross the reefs at Gallows Rock and put ashore in Shipwreck Cove, the treasure should be on top of Lookout Peak, 50 paces east of the giant monkey idol."

Well according to the report back in Portland when we (the dog sitters) returned the dog, a great time was had by all. Perfect sailing weather. Looks like a lot of fun.
